The second quarter of 2004 has been a time of expansion for GPI with the doubling of our manufacturing plant, and the increase in the RotaTherm® Cooker's presence in the world marketplace.

We are in the process of launching our GPI Aseptic RotaTherm system.

Please register your interest by contacting your relevant GPI agent or emailing Paula Bell with the words 'Aseptic Launch'.

The Mk2 version of the GPI reciprocating temperature probe generated significant interest at the recent trade shows.

Attendees at FOOMA acknowledged the versatility of the temperature probe, as the Mk2 can be mounted in pipe spools or on disc for use in pipes, batch cookers and vessels.

The new features of the Mk2 include: a longer stroke length, a more central location of the probe to the product flow, increased service life through harder wearing seals and bearings to reduce stress and wear.

The reciprocating temperature probe enables the accurate temperature measurement of difficult products and is ideal for long production runs.

Please contact Shane Enayati to discuss your needs.

Intertek (UK)

The RotaTherm® continuous cooking demonstration unit is soon to move to Europe to perform further trials. In Europe it will be under the management of Berief Innovativ and Intertek.

Please contact Uwe Seidel of Berief, Bob Lancaster of Intertek to register your interest in European trials, (or Paula Bell for an introduction).

Recent RotaTherm cooker trials have achieved an outstanding result for vegetable processors.

Potato products, to achieve a mashed or semi-mashed state, have proven a successful application of the RotaTherm processing system.

The RotaTherm cooking system enables processors to use vegetable ingredient (from long term storage), achieving approximately 98% of starch utilisation (of both natural & added) to produce a commercial 'mashed' result.

As well as a product quality improvement over existing technology, 'mash' manufacturers can benefit from huge savings on ingredient costs

For further information, or to discuss your application needs please contact Alastair Sorley.

FPE, our NZ & Australian agent, will be hosting a stand at foodtech/packtech 2004, Auckland NZ 12-14 October 2004. A RotaTherm cooker will be exhibited on the FPE stand at the show.

Along with the FPE team, Alastair, GPI's GM, will be present for the duration of the exhibition to discuss RotaTherm cooker applications.

Please contact Tania Carey of FPE or Paula Bell for further information.

The Sumitomo stand, featuring a 10 jet RotaTherm® cooker and GPI reciprocating temperature probe, had a constant flow of visitors. It was an exciting show as new opportunities were explored with existing clients, and potential with new clients opened up.

All at Sumitomo are congratulated for the great outcome of the show.

For Japanese enquiries please contact Yasumasa Suzuki of Sumitomo.

GPI now offer variants in the RotaTherm cooker and processing systems.

In response to increasing enquiries for our RotaTherm® technology to be made available to processors with low rate and high product change requirements, we are pleased to be able to now offer systems that meet these needs.

The LR system delivers throughput rates 500kg/hr up to 2000kg/hr for runs times up to 18 hours. The LRX system offers the same throughput rates with production run times up to 72 hours.

The HR system delivers 2000-6500kg/hr up to 18 hours. The HRX system enables the high rate with long run time up to 72 hours.

CL system is a complete cooking & processing line fully self-contained on a skid. It is available in two forms; the R&D rate of 100-600kg/hr and the production rate of 350-2000kg/hr.

The existing RotaTherm® cooker range provides processing flexibility to match the various production throughput needs, whilst successfully addressing the wants of the operator.

Please contact Shane Enayati to discuss your needs.

The RotaTherm® cooker, placed centrally on the Berief Innovativ stand, stirred interest and generated notable leads at IFFA Germany (May 04).

Berief hosted a stylish stand that potential clients literally lined up to discuss their RotaTherm © cooker applications with Alastair.

IFFA signified the successful launch of GPI's European agency agreement with Berief Innovativ.

From the positive response at IFFA, expertly generated and co-ordinated by the Berief Innovativ team, GPI are excited by the prospects across Europe.

For European enquiries please contact Uwe Seidel of Berief

Scan American Corporation has taken the RotaTherm demonstration unit to heart and have fully utilised its capabilities.

Trials performed have ranged from smooth vegetable product applications, to processing of meat by-product streams.

The USA trials have proved a fruitful exercise for clients. Clients have witnessed the superior output of the RotaTherm cooker in comparison to the technology they are currently employing.

Numerous break throughs, in various applications, have been achieved and opened doors to further processing potential of the GPI technology.

The fully scaleable system has been running trials onsite at the Scan testing facility and on location as specifically booked by individual clients.

Please contact Tony Jacobsen at Scan American for a trial activity update (or Paula Bell for an introduction).

Mark Kirkby's role at GPI has evolved to incorporate different areas of responsibility that utilise his vast hands-on experience. One of those changes is that Mark is now co-ordinating spare parts.

Spare parts and service are available for GPI equipment from local staff in USA (Scan American Corporation), Japan (Sumitomo), Europe (Berief Innovativ) and Australia (FPE). Please contact your relevant agent, or GPI; to discuss your spare parts needs.

Please contact Mark Kirkby for an introduction to your relevant spare parts contact.
