The third quarter of 2004 has proven a very busy period for the company with numerous installations worldwide and our expanded manufacturing facility operating at near full capacity. The remainder of the year promises to be more of the same as we continue to manufacture new systems and commercialise our R&D portfolio.

The Mozzarella RotaTherm® cooker is now available to manufacture natural or analogue Mozzarella cheese.

After a series of trials, GPI have locked in a Mozzarella design to obtain maximum benefits from the RotaTherm® equipment.

GPI have filed a provisional patent application to protect our technology and make the benefits available to Mozzarella producers.

Key features of the Mozzarella RotaTherm® cooker:

  • Elimination of salty whey cook water/effluent
  • Increased yield
  • Greater functionality control
  • No burn-on or scorched particles
  • Ability to cook/stretch natural Mozzarella from cheese curd, and analogue Mozzarella from blended ingredients

To discuss your Mozzarella application and needs, please contact Alastair Sorley.

FPE, our Australasian agent, will be hosting a stand at foodtech/packtech 2004, Auckland NZ 12-14 October 2004.

The RotaTherm® cooker will be exhibited on the FPE stand 174, at the show.

Along with the FPE team, Alastair Sorley, GPI's GM, will be present for the duration of the exhibition to discuss your RotaTherm cooker applications.

Please contact Tania Carey of FPE or Paula Bell to register your attendance.

The Aseptic RotaTherm® Cooking system launch generated a considerable amount of interest.

International and domestic customers registered their interest with many coming to view the system.

Mr Yamashita, Manager of Machinery and System department, Sumitomo made a special trip to Melbourne, Australia to familiarise the Sumitomo team with the new GPI product. FPE, our Australasian agency, came to GPI for an Aseptic tour and presentation.

For further information on Aseptic and to discuss your application needs please contact Shane Enayati.

GPI have been invited as a provider of aseptic processing equipment, to present at Aseptipak Europe, 2004.

Aseptipak is a forum dedicated to pioneering the proliferation of Aseptic throughout the world.

Bob Smith has accepted the offer and will be presenting a paper titled "Particulates and High Viscosity Aseptic processing: the RotaTherm® cooker way".

Aseptipak, Europe 2004, is to be held in Frankfurt, Germany, on November 30th and December 1st.

The mechanical seal housings of the RotaTherm® cooker have been upgraded to accommodate a new long life seal.

In order to reduce maintenance (wear and tear) the seal design has been modified and the stationary pinned. This upgrade is particularly relevant to manufacturers processing UHT, high viscosity or at high pressure.

Please contact Matt Callaghan for information on the upgrade.

As a result of a range of queries from both existing and potential clients we have decided to include the most relevant questions in our news@goldpeg.

"I have a number of variables, in particular my filler stops intermittently and I sometimes want to run both my fillers. How can I automatically manage rate changes through the RotaTherm® cooker to meet the fillers' demand?

The easiest way is to manage the level in your surge hopper so that it controls the production rate through the RotaTherm® cooker.

Should you wish to find out how this applies to you please contact Shane Enayati or Alastair Sorley.

Skid mounted R&D
RotaTherm® Cooking System

Following up leads generated at IFFA the demonstration RotaTherm® skid has arrived in EUROPE.

The Demonstration model is a small-scale version of the RotaTherm® Continuous Cooking System mounted on a single skid for ease of transportation, needing only the supply of essential services for installation/operation. The demonstration design has the unique features of the ability to blend, forward feed, cook, vacuum flash cool and provide processed product to a filler.

In Europe the demonstration skid will be under the management of GPI's agents, Berief Innovativ - for Europe, and Intertek for cheese and the UK.

Please contact Uwe Seidel of Berief, Bob Lancaster of Intertek to register your interest in European trials.

Rachel and Alastair are proud to announce the arrival of their first son Liam Astor Sorley, born 30th August 2004.

Rachel is home and learning the rigors of motherhood, (and Al the demands of fatherhood…the early morning wake ups are good for International customer contact!)

As you can see, Liam's a little gem (or an emerald?) Rachel and Alastair are both over the moon!

GPI would like to thank Tanya Hiscock for committing her valuable time to GPI. Tanya has become a regular voice and face around GPI recently, filling numerous roles as the tempo continues to increase.
